With over twenty years of timber frame building experience, Jakob and Daniel (German and Swiss trained) are the heart of European Timberframe Corporation.

Throughout the Okanagan, using the best quality Douglas Fir timbers from local mills, we work on projects both big and small, and are happy to ship anywhere in North America.

Jakob Frei has been working as a timber frame carpenter since the age of fifteen. One year after finishing his Timber Frame apprenticeship, he started his own company in Germany. With four employees, he assembled approx. 80 Timber Frame Roof Systems a year. He did this for six years before moving to Canada.  Now a Master Timber Framer, Jakob and his family have chosen to make Vernon, B.C. their home, as well as the base for European Timberframe Corporation.

After training in Switzerland as an Architectural Draftsman, Daniel Kilchenmann decided to trade the office for the building site, and did his Timber Frame apprenticeship. He spent ten years working in Switzerland on both traditional and modern timber frame construction. In that time, he also did three semesters of Wood Construction Engineering. For the past four years he has called Canada home. Daniel has considerable experience in leading projects from the beginning stages of visioning and drawing, to implementation and through to the final stage of assembling the project on site.
